Epstein, Resources and South Africa

Noteworthy files in the recent release fo documents, with specific focus on dealings in South Africa and Africa, by extension (due to South Africa being the gateway and economic intermediary to most African countries).

I see that BBC has noted that Zuma was found in one of the documents. The email correspondence included talks of a dinner being arranged for Zuma. Another email in the same thread spoke of the results of the dinner around March of 2010; how the model was very good.

In 2010, Epstein send an email to someone about looking for a chairman for Xtrata mining company. It is noteworthy that XTRATA is the company that bought Glencore in 2013 - The only connection I can think of is their partnership/ joint venture with Cyril Ramaphosa’s Shanduka Trust to take a controlling stake at Optimum Coal Holdings - even making him chairman. Shanduka also had a deal with Lonmin for control of Lonmin’s Limpopo division.

Lonmin was a large platinum producer. All this took place in the period of 2010 and 2011. The sourced article was written in October of 2011. A noteworthy quote in this article was that the analyst mentioned how these big mining companies would refer to “high-quality reserves in junior miners' hands, they said”.

Curious to find other links to projects in South Africa and in the Limpopo/Polokwane region. I have seen mentions of these projects in documents, one of which was about some digital currency. The other file was a report which included countries like Brazil, Congo.

In one of the findings, there are JP Morgan accounts with transactions to Standard Bank. Not groundbreaking but, also, not nothing.

Other emails involve Peter Mandelson, communicating his interests in Africa, with a focus on Congo. In this communication, he tells Epstein a it about the plans to speak with representatives in Nedbank and then ABSA.

There was also talk about a package from South Africa sent to Jeff: “South Africa delivered it to Canada. It is laughable. I we=t through the NYC adress twice, got email confirmation of the exact adres= that they needed to use in New York, USA, and they decided to ship it to =ES in an entirely different country! At least its in the northern hemisphe=e!” - No context is provided here in 2017, however, it caught my attention.

There is also an email thread about Zulu shields. Might be completely irrelevant but just noteworthy.

Then in 2013, a censored name beginning with ’S A’ asks Jeff: “ WHOM YOU KNOW IN SOUTH AFRIUCA BESIDE PRESIDENT MANDELLA AND PRESIDENT ZUMA” on the 11th of September in 2013. The response was "a top executive minerals mining and deep sea mining". I can't say for sure who that may be referring to, but I have some thoughts.

In recent findings, it is alleged that Nathi Mtehtwa, former Minister of Police (2009 to 2014) who is said to have fallen from a French hotel building, was identified in footage found in the recent release of the files. (https://krassencast.com/p/we-just-found-this-troubling-epstein) His passing occurred around 29th or 30th September 2025; just a few days after Peter Thiel and Elon Musk’s names were spoken about by the media in connection to the files on September 26th.

Projects in Soutpan and Witbank in Polokwane. These are both regions within the Platinum Belt. African Rainbow Minerals is a notable contributor to mining in this region.

The Oprah Academy school for girls in South Africa was mentioned in the files; someone wanting to find out more about the sexual assault cases of students ;after a year of opening'.

Johann Rupert was also mentioned in the files by Adriene De Rothschild twice. He is referred to as J Rupert in another email.

Limpopo Foundation - Client D - Swiss Bank Accounts with a value of $30,895,000.

Mention of Project Solar South Africa

An email that appears to be from Mandelson on 28th September 2010 states: "Just arr s africa from congo. Going to splendid game farm. How you? to Jeffery Epstein. On the 25th, Mandelson replies to Epstein's question about his (Mandelson's) schedule, to which he replies: :Here til 2am Monday, then south africa then congo til oct 5. There is also correspondence (Zanaga Iron Ore Mine, Congo Brazzaville) from him on the 7th October 2010, to Jes Staley:

"In Congo Brazzaville last week, I talked at length with President Sassou Ntuesso, including about the above new mine. Exploration, he told me, has been undertaken by a consortium of investors backed by JP Morgan. The government is reaching a final decision on whether to issue a full mining licence. I spoke to the Minister of Mines about this, who is favourable to the licence, but the President wanted to discuss it further with me. No obligation but if there is anyone in JPM who might want to talk to me privately about this, please shout. I would be grateful for no approaches to other third parties about this in meantime."

This was forwarded to Epstein who wrote that it "sounds interesting".

A 2014 email to Epstein about itenirary in South Africa was also located in the file: EFTA00993839 .
